NHS GP Referrals for First Out-patient Appointments, January 2011
The latest statistics on GP Referrals produced by the Welsh Assembly Government were released on 2 March 2011 according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.
Statistics on GP Referrals received at Welsh Local Health Boards for a first out-patient appointment include data for Wales for the period January 2010 to January 2011. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 2 February 2011.
The key points from the latest release are:
- The number of GP Referrals for a first outpatient appointment received at Welsh Local Health Boards was 55,655 in January 2011.
- This is a 7.9% increase compared with January 2010 and a 16.2% increase compared with December 2010, at an all Wales level.
All figures relating to January 2011 are provisional.
