December Agricultural Survey - Historical Statistics 1981 to date

Summary:

The December Agricultural survey is a sample survey of approximately 5,000 farms in Northern Ireland. This survey provides estimates of the number of cattle, sheep and pigs on farms in Northern Ireland at the beginning of December as well as information on levels of hay and silage production and sowings of winter cereals. Information has been taken from the APHIS system for cattle since 2006 and the Sheep and Goat Inventory has been used as a source of sheep information since 2007. The information is normally released as a Statistical Press Release in the February following the survey. The attached document contains all results since 1981.
