Groups and Committees

Population and Migration Statistics Committee (PAMS)

PAMS is one of a number of committees covering the whole range of official statistics and is responsible to the SCOTSTAT board. The group discusses the characteristics, structure and dynamics of the population and assesses how this information can be extended and improved. It also acts as the Census Advisory Group for Scotland.

Small Area Population Estimates Working Group (SAPE)
The SAPE Working Group is a consultative group which develops a set of small area population estimates for Scotland.
 
Household Analysis Review Group (HARG)
HARG is a consultative group concerned with the household estimates and projections produced by the General Register Office for Scotland.
 
Population Projections Working Group (PPWG)
The PPWG reports to PAMS and advises on the review of the method used to produce the sub-national population projections for administrative areas in Scotland. The work of the group will feed into the review of household projections led by HARG.
 
POPGROUP Users Group (PUG) (Scotland)
This group has been set up to allow POPGROUP users in Scotland to meet and share knowledge and experiences.
 
Census Outputs Geography Working Group (COGWG)
This short-term sub-group of the Population and Migration Statistics Committee (Scotland) was established in order to gather expert advice on geographical issues relating to 2011 Census outputs.

ScotStat

ScotStat is a network for users and providers of Scottish Official statistics. It aims to improve communication amongst those interested in particular statistics and facilitate the setting up of working groups on specific statistical issues. You can access ScotStat from the statistics section of the Scottish Government website.

Statistics Customer Survey 2007

The aim of the Statistics Customer Survey 2007 was to assess the levels of satisfaction our customers had with our online statistical resources.
