The VAT gap estimate for 2011-12 relies on National Statistics produced by Office for National Statistics and also on the publication of revised forecasts for the UK economy by the Office for Budget Responsibility. Therefore, the first preliminary VAT gap estimate for 2011-12 will be published on the same day as the autumn fiscal event on the 5th December 2012.
