About Monitoring and Assessment

With effect from 1 April 2008, the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007, gives the Authority statutory powers to carry out assessments of the extent to which official statistics comply with the Code of Practice for Official Statistics. The Act also enables the Authority "to monitor the production and publication of official statistics."
