The latest national statistics on National Insurance Number Allocations to Adult Overseas Nationals entering the UK produced by the Department for Work and Pensions were released on 30 August 2012 according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.
Statistics are based on adult overseas nationals registering for a National Insurance number for the purposes of work, benefits or tax credits. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 24 May 2012.
This product was assessed by the Statistics Authority in January 2011 and the statistics have been designated as National Statistics subject to implementation of a number of requirements in May/August 2011. The full report has been published and is available here.
The statistics are part of the coherent cross-Government release of migration statistics and are included in Migration Statistics Quarterly Reports and other Migration Indicators.
