Statistics - Frequently Asked Questions
What statistics can CSRB provide?
CSRB provides a statistical and research service to both DRD and DOE. The branch carries out statistical and research work relating to transport, sustainable transport, equality, and regional planning.
Where can I find statistics relating to regional planning in NI?
CSRB collates data on private sector new dwelling commencements. These are published annually in section 2 of DSD's Northern Ireland Housing Statistics publication and quarterly in the Northern Ireland Housing Bulletin. The Northern Ireland Household Projections report contains household projections at NI level up to 2025, and at LGD level up to 2015. Further information on regional planning, including housing growth indicators can be found on the Regional Development Strategy 2035 webpage.
If you cannot find the statistics you require in these publications, please contact the regional planning statistician, whose details can be found in the Who's who section, for further advice.

CSRB publishes two separate series of transport statistics publications. The annual Northern Ireland Transport Statistics includes annual data vehicle registrations, driver and vehicle testing, the road network, road freight, road safety, public transport, air transport and other general transport statistics.
