The Early Years Foundation Stage Profile (EYFSP) is a statutory assessment for children in the final year of the Foundation Stage. LAs are required to submit EYFSP data to the Department in respect of 'funded' children only — that is:
- four-year-olds in maintained schools
- four-year-olds in PVI settings with birthdays between 1 April and 31 August who are still in receipt of the free entitlement.
