Dame Moira Gibb DBE

Moira Gibb

Dame Moira Gibb is a non-executive member of the UK Statistics Authority. She has had a distinguished career in local government and social services, and for eight years to December 2011 was Chief Executive of the London Borough of Camden.

Dame Moira currently chairs the Government Social Work Reform Board, implementing the recommendations of the Social Work Taskforce which she also chaired. She was President of the Association of Directors of Social Services and was a director of the London Marathon. Dame Moira was awarded Fellowship of Council of the City & Guilds of London Institute (FCGI) in 2011 and has been appointed by Her Majesty the Queen as a Civil Service Commissioner with effect from April 2012.

Dame Moira Gibb was appointed CBE in 2002 for services to social services and advanced to DBE in the 2012 New Year Honours.
