Geography is a key component of Neighbourhood Statistics. There are many different geographic unit types, administrative, health, electoral, postal etc. and their boundaries are subject to frequent revision
Neighbourhood Statistics uses the 'best fit' method to aggregate data to differing geographic areas in accordance with the National Statistics Geography Policy, which has superseded the previous Neighbourhood Statistics Geography Policy.
Data within Neighbourhood Statisics is mainly for England and Wales, users requiring data for Northern Ireland or Scotland may wish to access the Neighbourhood Statistics services' available for both these countries.
