Driving tests and instructors statistics information.
This page presents information on the number of driving and riding theory and practical tests undertaken in Great Britain, and also statistics on driving instructors.
All of the statistics are derived from data held by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency which administers the driving test scheme in Great Britain.
Note on revisions (last updated 6 October 2014)
Some discrepancies have been found in table INS0101, therefore some corrections have been made and other parts of the table have been withdrawn while further checks are carried out. The withdrawn data will be revised or re-instated as soon as possible.
