National Statistician's Office

The National Statistician’s Office supports the National Statistician in performing his roles and responsibilities.

The Office’s work includes supporting the development of statistical policy and planning, providing advice to producers of official statistics, managing relations with international statistical organisations, providing recruitment services for the Government Statisticians Group (GSG) and communications services for the Government Statistical Service (GSS). 

The Office also develops and maintains professional competence standards, and develops learning activities for the GSS, in partnership with GSS Heads of Profession.
