Transport, Environment and Climate Change
Our Transport, Environment and Climate Change domain covers statistics on transport and transport infrastructure; food and farming; the natural environment; energy sources, production, consumption and prices; fuel poverty; and climate change.
Our priority for 2022/23 is to build on the ‘Accessibility and Coherence of UK Climate Change Statistics’ systemic review and conduct further work in this area. We will also continue to work on topics of key public interest; for example, our planned regulatory work for this year includes fuel poverty statistics, road fuel sales and stock levels, the UK’s Carbon Footprint and the Food Security Report. We will also continue to support statistics producers in meeting our recommendations from the ‘Review of Transport Accessibility Statistics’ and continue to monitor their approach to meeting user needs.
We will also monitor the effects of COVID-19 on transport, energy and the environment in the UK, and support producers in publishing relevant statistics and data that generate insight on the impact of the pandemic.
Contact our regulators for this domain Catherine A Davies, David Ross and Gemma Keane for more information.
