Details

The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) has published an update to 4 indicators reporting on the proportion of children living with:

  • at least one parent reporting symptoms of emotional distress

  • a mother reporting symptoms of emotional distress

  • a father reporting symptoms of emotional distress

  • both parents reporting symptoms of emotional distress

Data is available:

  • for trends between the periods 2010 to 2020

  • by family type and work status for the period 2019 to 2020

The 2023 update is currently paused to allow a review of the methodology used for the indicators in relation to changes in:

  • data collection approach during the COVID-19 pandemic survey waves
  • characteristics of survey participants and comparison over time
