On-line Data Resource for Wales Spatial Plan Areas

A detailed on-line data resource has been put together for the areas identified in the Wales Spatial Plan.
The Spatial Plan is based on a set of guiding themes that apply across Wales.  However, it is recognised that there are differences in terms of how results will be achieved in the different parts of Wales, and so six distinct areas within Wales have been identified in the plan.

Smoking in Wales

"Smoking in Wales: Current Facts" (published 5 November) brings together a range of statistics on smoking and presents the picture prior to the introduction of the smoke-free legislation in Wales. The report was jointly developed by the Wales Centre for Health and the Welsh Assembly Government's Statistical Directorate and the Department for Public Health and Health Professions.

Census Newsletter

The third edition of the Census newsletter has been published (29 November 2007). The next edition will be available in January 2008.
