Consumer and Retail Price Indices (UK) - December 2007

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for December 2007:

  • In the 12 months to December 2007 the CPI rose by 2.1per cent, the same as for the 12 months to November 2007.
  • In December 2007, the CPI index stood at 106.2 (2005=100).

The all items Retail Price Index (RPI) for December 2007:

  • In the 12 months to December 2007 the all items RPI rose by 4.0 per cent, down from 4.3 per cent for the 12 months to November 2007.
  • In December 2007, the all items RPI index stood at 210.9 (January 1987=100).

The RPI excluding mortgage interest payments (RPIX) for December 2007:

  • In the 12 months to December 2007 the all items RPIX rose by 3.1 per cent, down from 3.2 per cent for the 12 months to November 2007.
  • In December 2007, the RPIX index stood at 203.5 (January 1987=100).
