This statistical release provides summary data on community contraceptive services provided by clinics in Wales.

Key facts:

• nearly 52,000 women and 4,000 men attended clinics for contraceptive services;
• more than a third (36%) of women attending clinics were under 20 years old;
• 49% of the women attending clinics chose oral contraception with 20% choosing male condoms.
