NHS Outpatient Activity

An out-patient is defined as a person attending by arrangement (usually at an outpatient department) to see a consultant (or GP acting as a consultant), a member of his firm or a locum for such a member.

Information on outpatient activity is provided by NHS Trusts in Wales and provides information about outpatient attendances in hospitals and separate clinics providing specialist services for the NHS.
