Age

Statistics and information about and analysed by age.

This page provides outputs that are focussed on age. Many of our other statistics also contain data with information about age. They are not included here as age is not their focus, for instance the primary focus of road casualty information is on road casualties however information about age is also available. This means you will be able to find more age related information in other parts of our website.

In most cases analysis is by age bands (rather than single years of age), however, it is important to note that there are no standard age bands used for analysis. Children are often defined as people aged 15 and under whilst working age refers to males aged 16-64 and females aged 16-59.
