The tables in this issue of the Historical Digest contain the latest statistics available, although it has to be noted that some figures may be provisional and so may be revised at a later date.

The following symbols and abbreviations are used in the tables:

• .. = not available
• . = not applicable
• - = nil or less than half the final digit shown
• ( ) = negative figure

In tables where figures have been rounded to the nearest final digit, there may be an apparent slight discrepancy between the sum of the constituent items and the total as shown.
