Wales Sub National Household Estimates and Projections Working Group

Terms of reference

The group will:

• Discuss and agree proposed methodology for estimates and projections, in particular:
  • Use of base data
  • Methodology for long-term assumptions
  • Methodology for variant projections
• Advise on dissemination strategy for household estimates and projections
• Meet face-to-face on a regular basis.  Papers will also be circulated via e-mail.

Membership

The group comprises of most of the current members of the population projections working group plus others. Members have experience in production of population/household projections and the use of population / household data. They have statistical experience in order to be able to carry out the functions of the group. They are also key users of projections.
