This report summarises the sources and methods used to compile the road accident and casualty figures for Wales.

It also reviews the quality of the resulting figures. It also contains annexes with both a copy of the form used to collect the figures (the ‘Stats19’ form) and a full set of definitions used for presenting these figures.

The aim of the report is to provide this background information about road casualty data in a single document for all users of the published statistics.
