New timetable for Housing outputs

There have been significant changes to the 2012-13 publication timetable for annual housing releases. The new timetable reflects the changes to the scheduling of housing data collections from 1 April 2012 which aim to improve the validation process and reduce the burden on data providers due to the following changes:

  • Data will only be requested at the time it is required to be processed, so that any follow up will relate to work that is fresh in providers’ minds.
  • More forms will be pre-populated with relevant data, reducing form completion time for the data providers.
  • Improved cross form validation, which should limit the need for future revisions.
  • The timing of outputs will better meet the needs of users

There are also changes to how some topics will be combined within outputs where there is a natural link between the two topics such as social housing stock and rents. The new timetable is available via the Due Out Soon Page.
