This statistical release is a monthly series that summarises information on the number of GP Referrals received at Welsh NHS Trusts for a first out-patient appointment. This release covers the period between November 2006 to November 2007.

This first release was originally published on 9 January 2008. Since its publication, the release has been revised as a result of the discovery of errors in the data.

Key facts:

  • The number of GP Referrals for a first out-patient appointment received at Welsh NHS Trusts was 53,468 (revised) in October 2007.
  • This is a 4.2% decrease compared to November 2006 and a 10.0% decrease compared to October 2007.

All figures relating to November 2007 are provisional.
