A National Statistics Release on the Living in Wales survey 2008 produced by the Welsh Assembly Government was released on 30 April 2009 according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.

UK Statistics Authority Website The Living in Wales survey is the main source of general statistical information about households and the condition of homes in Wales. The survey is carried out annually and this Release presents a selection of the latest 2008 results for the first time.  This Release uses a combination of text, charts and tables to show a selection of some of the results available for the topics covered in the latest survey.  More detailed information about these topics is shown in a series of Excel workbooks.

The main report on the survey will include more detailed information and will be published in Autumn 2009. The 2008 survey also collected data about citizens’ views of a range of public services in Wales; apart from the information shown in this Release, more detailed information on each service area will be released in the ‘Citizens’ views of public services’ reports, also to be published in Autumn 2009.

A separate property survey was also carried out in 2008 and the results, describing the condition of homes in Wales, will be published late in 2009.
