The School Workforce Census is a statutory collection of individual level data on teachers and support staff from local authorities, local authority maintained schools and academies. The census takes place annually, in the autumn.
Guidance materials and tools are provided in this section to help local authorities and schools supply the required data. Technical documentation for the suppliers of school management information systems and local authority HR/payroll systems is also provided.
