Older People in Wales, 2011

Statistics on indicators monitoring progress against the Strategy for Older People in Wales include data for Wales for the period from 2002. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 21 October 2010.

The key points from the latest release are:

• 8 indicators showed a clear improvement.
• 6 indicators were stable or showed no clear trend.
• Insufficient or no data existed for 2 of the indicators.
• No indicator showed a clear deterioration.
• Of the indicators for which information existed and which could be measured, 57.1 per cent showed a clear improvement.
