Ambulance Services, October 2012

Statistics on ambulance services in Wales include data for October 2012. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 31 October 2012.

The key points from the latest release are:

• there were more than 35,400 emergency calls, 5.1% more than in September 2012; of these, more than 14,200 were Category A (immediately life-threatening) calls; and
• 59.9% (8,332) emergency responses to Category A (immediately life-threatening) calls arrived at the scene within 8 minutes, below the all-Wales target of 65% for the fifth successive month.
