NHS Waiting Times: At End June 2009

Statistics on NHS Wales waiting times for admission as an inpatient or day case and for a first outpatient appointment include data for Welsh residents waiting for NHS funded treatment as at the end of June 2009. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 24th June 2009.

The key points from the latest release are:

• The number waiting over 14 weeks on the inpatient/day case list rose over the month from 2,218 to 3,230 and the number waiting over 22 weeks rose over the month from 108 to 329.
• The number waiting over 10 weeks on the outpatient list rose over the month from 2,408 to 3,172 and the number waiting over 22 weeks rose over the month from 6 to 12. (Excluding Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services).
