Fast Stream intake - Assistant Statistician
The application window for round 1 2012/13 of the Statistician Fast Stream - Assistant Statistician (AS) will open in September 2012. Registration is between 15 September and 15 October. Round 2 2012/13 is expected to take place in spring 2013.

Main intake - Statistical Officers
Round 3 of the Statistical Officer recruitment is now open. The deadline for applications is midday 27 September 2012. Posts are available UK wide. The majority of the posts will be in Central London, Wales, the South West and the North of England. However, limited vacancies will be available in other parts of the UK.
Temporary Statistical Officers
Certain departments have positions available for Temporary Statistical Officers. These roles are similar to that of a Statistical Officer but are offered purely on a casual contract of no more than 51 weeks.

You can also be employed in the GSS in areas of expertise other than professional Government Statistician.
